How to apply for WIC

To get started, you first need to call & set up an appoitment.  Local WIC program staff will tell you what you need to bring to your appointment

At your appointment, a WIC nutritionist or nurse will check your diet & review your health history.

If you are eligible you will receive nutrition information & counseling, referrals to other services & checks to buy food such as:

  • milk, fruit juice & vegetables
  • cheese, infant formula, whole wheat bread or brown rice
  • eggs, peanut butter, dried or canned beans or infant baby food
  • tuna fish, carrots, cereal, dried beans & peas
These foods help keep pregnant & breastfeeding women, babies & children healthy & strong.
