HIV Education & Counseling

The HIV/AIDS testing and prevention program provides confidential testing, risk assessment and education for clients ages 13 and up. Individuals who are at risk due to their life styles such as sharing needles through IV drug/steroid use and/or a history of sexually transmitted infection(s) are encouraged to stop in for testing. We believe there are a number of other risks that pose a threat to health such as multiple partners, not using condoms or other barrier methods correctly or consistently, and tattoos and/or body piercings that are not done in a professional setting.

Stop by our offices for information and to schedule an appointment. Our professional nursing case managers and staff are completely non-judgmental and STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. We have three different locations, Chadron, Gordon, or Alliance.

All tests are accompanied by a risk assessment and education on decreasing risky behaviors that may lead to HIV & other STD's. For an appointment call 800.717.1231.

WCHR also receives funding for the Ryan White Part C grant which is for HIV + individuals in the Panhandle & surrounding area. Through this grant we are able to offer social case management through the Nebraska AIDS Project.
Quarterly medical clinics are held at Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska in Scottsbluff. WCHR also contracts with several medical providers in the area to provide medical care for HIV+ individuals on our program.
