The Community Essentials Pantry was created after a WCHR staff member identified a gap in the needs of the consumers we serve. Although there are assistance programs for basic needs such as food and clothing, there was not a local program to assist clients with personal and household hygienic items. This led to the development of the Community Essentials Pantry. Funding for the pantry comes through grants and other donations both from businesses and individuals.
The pantry is available for use by anyone! We ask the participants to fill out a form with demographic information and then fill the order. The Community Essentials Pantry has filled a tremendous need and experienced growth the past year as a resource in our community!
The Community Essentials Pantry serves Box Butte, Dawes, Sheridan and Sioux Counties.
A basic package of essential hygiene and household cleaning products is distributed monthly.
Visits to the pantry are limited to ONE pick up per month per family.
Eligibility:
- Open to anyone needing assistance. We ask the participants to fill out a form with demographic information and then fill the order.
Items for the pantry can be donated by anyone.
